Megan Crowe
Ireland
My name is Megan and I am a mother of two girls aged 5 and 3 and I am a Play Therapist based in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland.
I am extremely passionate about the powers of Play Therapy. From the age of 16 years old, I wanted to become a Play Therapist, based upon my own personal experience of how Play Therapy positively supported my family and after the loss of my aunt to cancer.
Throughout my academic journey, I always strived to achieve the goal of being a Play Therapist, because I was extremely passionate in supporting children and young people and their families through the power of Play Therapy.
As a fully qualified Play Therapist, I work with children and young people, and I am privileged to witness the benefits of what play and creative therapy can bring to support the mental health of children and young people.
I am also passionate about providing professional training, in particular, raising awareness of what play and creative therapy is and how these therapeutic services are beneficial for highly sensitive children and young people.
At present, I love raising awareness of play and creative therapy via my Instagram page: @timetoplayni
I am extremely passionate and determined to celebrate the impact of PTUK/ PTI with parents, caregivers and professionals globally.

Abeer Gari
Saudi Arabia
I want to make the world a better play, simply by using colors, toys and imagination.
I’ve started a psychoeducational / semi-structured support group for mothers who’d like to learn about using art and play in their child-rearing. We schedule our meetings during school semesters and pause during holidays.
These are the meetings we held in the past two months.
Jan 15th Play therapy, and the science that underpins it.
Jan 30th Anger in Children
Feb 5th The Scared Child
Feb 12th Respecting Child’s Boundaries
In fact, even before being assigned to the role, I was advocating for play therapy. In October 2024, I contested in a Saudi Government Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program and explained my goal to introduce filial/play therapy to the Saudi family. The committee believed in my project, and I won one of five grants to assist/guide me to bring this to realization.
I can’t wait to bring PTUK into Saudi; it’d be the highlight of my life.

Elaine Hutchinson
UK
Hi! I’m Elaine. I work with children and young people to help them manage big feelings, stressful situations and other life challenges they may face.
I support parents, carers, families and professionals to help them effective support the children, teens and young people they care about. I also offer training, support and creative clinical supervision to therapists and other professionals either from my studio in Wells, Somerset, or in their workplace.
I’m currently completing my psychology doctorate at Exeter University, where I also am a PGR involved in both teaching and exploring creative researching. I’m particularly interested in creative practice with clients and my research has led to a framework for looking at the intersubjective creative experiences in sessions.
Outside of work I like nothing more than a long beach walk with my working therapy dog, Orca, who works in my studio, sharing time with my family and going on adventures when time permits.
